So, this morning as I was looking for Monarch eggs on my aphid-infested Milkweed, I saw these little green ovoids hanging from fine threads on the undersides of a couple of leaves:

It reminds me of some mosses, that grow in a similar pattern, but not upside down! It could be some kind of insect egg also, but I thought I would begin here to see if anyone recognizes this lifeform.
