If you are forcing bulbs to bloom out of season, or one time for a gift you can crowd them in a pot and get one season of bloom, then they will probably not bloom again for years. If you want your bulbs to bloom year after year you must give them room, water and fertilizer to regenerate the bulbs after they bloom.
