I've never grown dahlias, but I did grow 'Dalia Rose' bred by Ralph Moore. Does that count ?
Actually, from what I have read, I probably would not keep them watered enough. We don't get summer rains up here to help and I am gardening on five levels, so each level doesn't always get the attention it needs on a consistent basis. I have to grow plants that can take care of themselves, if I can't get to them.
