Well I have been trying for three seasons to identify this , one more won't matter . except on my memory maybe Thank You!
I will watch for the samaras Never have seen any so far ,
The leaves a few minutes ago ,, The healthy green leaves look smooth on top , but they feel like a fine grade sandpaper (graphic )
Slightly hairy and smoother feeling on the bottom , the healthy green leaves

Yellowing leaves feel like sandpaper , both above and below ,
In the Butterfly garden if a plant is not chewed up I feel like a failure
