I am going to ask an odd question. Were these pics taken with a phone camera? If so the camera on my smart phone accents any red and they come out looking magenta or unnaturally bright so i use my regular digital camera instead when taking pics of blooms.
I ask also because while it looks like Calico Spider, our Calico Spider has much darker eye zone like burgundy red almost brown. I will see if i can post a pic of ours.

Wow, after loading it looks more like yours then ever. Still a burgundy red but close.
