So I was able to go back through 9 years worth of photos and pull all of my daylily photos into one folder. I was thrilled to find a few pictures of the actual flower cards and then based on location was able to confirm that they are still in my gardens Hurray! That included Gentle Shepherd and Little Girl.

Then there is the "Regal Heir". Here is the flower label from 2008

Here is the description of the flower from both the AHS site as well as this site.

Color description: purple self with yellow green throat

So I am totally confused!!! I still have this and it is still the exact same color........ So would an otherwise "purple flower" really be able to turn red or is this color a variation of purple or is this one of those mass planting that was given a random name and sold to a big box store????

I should add that it is a massively prolific bloomer with tons and tons of flowers, and is taller than the described 22 inches. Probably more like 30-36 inches and the seedpods all shrivel up and turn black within 2 weeks of going to seed.
