We have been doing the Daylily of the Day for a couple of weeks now and in my opinion it has been very successful THANKS to all of you who took the time to post your performance reviews of the different cultivars!

Please be aware that you can post to all those threads old and new at any time to update or add your evaluations of any of those cultivars! You can add on the day the cultivar is featured, days later, weeks later, months, years, etc. At any time. The more info from around the world on each cultivar, the better!

Since we are adding a cultivar a day, Dave has created another forum to hold all but the newest threads. He will automatically archive each cultivar thread after it has run for 7 days. That way we are not clogging up the main Daylily forum with Daylily of the Day threads. If you would like to know when someone adds to any of those cultivar threads, click on the "Daylilies of the Day Archive" (in blue) to your right and choose to "watch" that forum.

Again, thank you to everyone who has taken the time to participate. And for those who haven't done so yet .... we will continue to feature a different cultivar every day. I will be awarding an acorn for each person's performance evaluation. If you update with a new post with more information next year, I will award another acorn to you. Another easy way to earn acorns!

If you are able to, please add info such as bud count, branching, scape height, how long it blooms (when the plant started blooming and when it stopped blooming), if it reblooms and how long after the initial blooms, etc. Any information that would be helpful to others who may be considering that cultivar for their garden.

The whole purpose of doing these Daylily of the Day threads is to help gardeners decide which cultivars would not only grow well in their zone, but also how it performs overall. Some cultivars take longer to settle into their new homes, while others don't seem to be fazed by transplanting, etc. So all this information will benefit everyone who loves daylilies!

And photos posted on those threads are certainly welcome, too! Thumbs up

Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! to Dave for all the work he put into creating this new feature for us and to everyone participating to make it a success!
