Thank you for the wonderful comments, the encouragement and the acorns. I was fortunate to have lived as I have and to be able to share it with other members of ATP is wonderful too.

As gardeners we have so much to share with, to guide, and to teach young people. I am concerned that if we do not make the effort they will have no where else to turn. We then will be left with a young generation that has to rely solely on professional gardens and the government to feed them. They will have no sustainability or pride in self reliance nor will they be able to pass-along gardening knowledge.

Living in kinship with the soil is healthy mentally and spiritually, satisfying and rewarding.... and just plain fun.

I hope that all of us can do just one thing to encourage a young person so that they will know that the real super power is the soil beneath their feet and foster in them the respect to make them stewards of the earth.
Thro' all the tumult and the strife I hear the music ringing; It finds an echo in my soul— How can I keep from singing?
