Once bloomer means a rose that just puts on one big display of blooms in the spring or early summer as opposed to repeat bloomers that keep cranking out flowers throughout the warm months. (One flower per lifetime really would be a bummer!)

Any idea where your mother got these roses? The more you can tell us about them the more likely someone here will be able to help.
