Yes, I've come about Begonia albococcinea too and found out its not to be found in the entire Brazil. 88 species Begonia for the region Janet! Blinking

I've I've looked at the ones they give Herbarium species of,
Begonia gehertii looked like a candidate but the leaf margin is not entirely closed like in mine
A google search gives many photos but now it is clear it cannot be the one..

Begonia ibitiocensis looks similar except for the lack of hairs on leaves and flower stems, they are not red either..
