Background history:

"Mister Lucky" is an evergreen tetraploid listed that it was introduced in 1995 by Van Sellers. (Many websites and gardens list this as a 1975 introduction.) Van Sellers hybridizes and sells his cultivars at Iron Gate Gardens located in Kings Mountain, North Carolina:

According to the ATP database, it is listed as an early to mid-season bloomer and may rebloom. It shows a 1.3 rust resistance rating.
