Hi Angie.

Actually, I think what you have may be Lycoris. Mine, both L radiata and L aurea, put up bloom spikes in September or October before any foliage. The foliage lasts over the winter and the plants go dormant in March or April and rest over the summer.

Nerines have foliage from spring through summer, bloom in the fall and go dormant over winter.
