My maternal Grandmother used to always have a pocket full of seeds in her apron. She was trying to breed the first double Gerbera back in the 50's.. She had flats and flats of seedlings in her garage (as well as chickens). She grew many fruit trees and so much that I've forgotten no doubt. But I do remember the beds of Gerbera and the tree roses lining the front walk.
