I have grown Stargate Portal for about 5 years. The scape height is 30-35 inches and bud count is more like 15. I have used it for hybridizing and have a few interesting seedlings. It is very pod and pollen fertile and can create about any form of flower depending on what you cross it with. It will have a long time home in our garden and we will also continue to use it for hybridizing. It is slow to increase but so many of our daylilies are slow to increase. I am sure they need more water and fertilizer and less extreme summer heat. Stargate Portal is reliable to bloom with multiple scapes each year.
