Sorry it has taken so long in answering, but as you might have noticed, have not been at my best. With the growing of them, remember where most grow. On the wooded hillsides of the Andes mountains, so fairly cool, moist conditions. If you can mimic this in some way, then you can grow them, and they will live for years. Tryphilla varieties will tolerate sun more than the other types, so you could try these. As long as they have a bit of shade during the day you might get away with the heat. As for cuttings, I fear you will have a bit of trouble with the heat. You could try if you have a really shady spot. If I get a bit of time one day I will try to do an article on taking cuttings.
