It makes NO sense what so ever ! These were new growth, 4ft tall growing off the previous year's snap off. I even had them tied to a piece of old growth for stability. There are no dead bodies near by, or rocks in the pot. Sighhh Sad I'll try to root these as 6 shorter pieces so that it grows bushy . It's late in the year. I how is warm enough to root.
