Yes, they make terrific house plants, although some of them get very large. Of course you can take cuttings, and start new smaller plants as they start very easily. Keep the 'mother' plant at a reasonable size by taking cuttings and of course giving them away to your friends and family as gifts.
My mother grew an Angel Wing indoors in Vancouver, BC for at least 10 years. At times it took up half of her dining room, because of course the window there was the perfect spot for the plant. In honor of family dinners, she would then prune the giant begonia and we'd all go home with cuttings. Again and again . . . wish I'd kept a piece of it as it would grow outdoors in my garden here.
They love to be kept moist and fed often.
