Keith, I am far from being an expert but I have grown cactus from seeds before. I was most successful with Cereus peruvianus. My friend gave me a fruit off of it and asked for my opinion. I wonder if I could grow any of the many tiny black seeds that was in this white mush. After washing it and setting the seeds in cactus soil in a covered container, I was lucky to get about 50 to germinate. Most I grew into 3 to 4 inch size and gave away. My first time with cactus. These cactus can take much more watering than any other cactus that I ever owned.
