Wanting to add a Palm to my Tropical area next year. Comprised of:

Hardy Banana
Hardy Kiwi
Cannas
Bird of Paradise
Huge Elephant Ears
Smaller potted Colocasia

Zone 5 B
Plant will be potted and overwintered indoors.

Desired attributes:

Stay relatively small (will do so any way in a pot :-)
Looks like a palm Smiling (Wow - Cool - a Palm tree too!!)
Can handle our weather and full sun

Note that I don't need something hardy on the cold side like a Windfall palm, since I don't plan to leave it out. Might a Majesty work? I can get one locally on clearance for $6 for a nice looking plant ~ 30 " tall. But methinks it will get TOO big. Smiling Guess I could bonsai it, heh.

Suggestions? Any others growing in my or close to my zone?
Seeking Feng Shui with my plants since 1976
