Years ago when I was setting up the display garden I had a "Candy" bed, I think just about everyone did back then. The ones I can remember growing were...Strawberry, Raspberry, Rainbow, Blackberry, Orchid, Wineberry, Exotic, Custard, Awesome, Elegant and Huckleberry, there may have been one or two others. Elegant Candy is still here as is Huckleberry Candy, both were the best performers for me. Awesome Candy was also very good and I loved the contrast of the bright yellow and red eye. Lost the huge clump 3 years ago I think it was when we had a terrible winter with little snow and very cold temps. I have images of all the ones I grew, the older film images need to be scanned, a good project for the winter months. The one I liked least for being short, color wasn't appealing to me, slow increase and just not being a happy daylily here was Blackberry Candy. It never did well and I think it eventually went over the fence to the compost pile. The others were donated to club sales or placed in the sales row for visitors.
