Yup! I get those too at times. But I have learned to give it a bit more water when it is growing the leaves in full sun, seems to help it a lot. On the other hand, I leave my Sago outdoors year round, so it may have learned to adjust to whatever light levels it gets. Give it a bit more time, it may still lengthen, it just grows slow. It really likes the sun.
