I mentioned in The thread "Finally did *something*" in Miniature Gardening forum that the children were really taken with the idea and are wanting to start their own miniature gardens.

It dawned on me, they've already started a couple... sort of. It was kind of my fault. The pot I bought for a plant was waay to big, so I put some rocks and a toy Bald Eagle on the soil to take up space until the plant fills out. Last month, they repotted their cactus and did this.

Probably the biggest thing hindering progress is finding some plants small enough to use. Building and painting something is the easy part. We all are taken with the Living Stones, but have no idea where to get them. I think it is getting too cold to have any shipped and I already asked the local nursery if he carries any and he doesn't. Maybe the planting part will have to wait. I am just beginning to try more house plants and am afraid of killing too much.
