I have found with IrfanView that the quality of image deteriorates too much. I'm l using on and off, Microsoft's Office Picture Manager, then compress the image to documents size. But I have to do it one by one. Even with FastStone, quality suffers a bit. This is my observation. GIMP.. I guess is only free to download and usable up to a short period and then it asks the user to buy, is that right?
