This year we had rain from mid-winter on and it is said we will until mid-November, but this is due to the El Nino current. Last summer, again, I lost many plants to the draught and later to the hungry rodents (consequence of the draught), so I will not grow anything new (well, maybe some Liliums .......) from seed until either the climate is more stable or we find another affordble water source.
My other concern is not to plant anything that could become invasive. Living in the middle of gorgeous native woods, I do not want to contaminate them with foreign species.
