I've grown Cameroons since the late '80s, and it has proved to be a strong, healthy grower. It's an early and reliable opener, and with low humidity and cool nights followed by bright, cloudless days, complete and early opening is a prerequisite for flower performance. Not too many daylilies in this color range look like much after 11:00 or so.
A trip through the ATP database will reveal that Cameroons has a long list of kids and grandkids, many of which are also well-known, top-notch garden subjects.
