My palm-like suggestions, but do bring them in when it gets too cold in your area and don't water till temps warm up nicely
Very drought tolerant. They handle 100F easily.
Ponytail palm - Beaucarnea recurvata: I can leave this outdoors, but to be cautious when we have winter rain forecasts for several days and/or with hard freeze, I just play safe and keep it indoors during winter. Plus we get very strong winds at times, so have to shelter it.
Cardboard palm - Zamiaculcas furfuracea - In my area, I leave this outdoors year round. Leaves quite cardboard-like stiff texture when mature, new growth looks furry and feels soft.
Sago palm - Cycad - I leave this outdoors as well year round, rain or shine. I positioned this plant in the corner side of our garden, those leaf tips are quite sharp and pointy. But I love them when in new growth, so soft!
