This is the most bizarre flower I have ever seen on an Adenium.

This is one flower from one bud. I can count 17 large/medium petals, plus there about 8 more small ones (½-1" long) already brown and dying in the center. That's a total of at least 25 petals!

The flower is 5" in diameter at the widest point.

This is a seed-grown plant, 8" tall with a single stem. Unfortunately, there are no more obvious buds in the growing tip. so it will be some time before I will know if other flowers from this plant will follow the same pattern.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this with their Adeniums?
