Although I do not go there often, I have yet to see any clearance sales at our HD here. I think there is one nursery who has the monopoly for plants sold at HD. Whatever does not sell after a time are removed and replaced with other plants from the said nursery. I believe the arrangement is that what plants go through the cash register for the nursery is what they are paid by HD. So simply said, what does not sell, the nursery takes back. So no plants to remain to be discounted!
