Rainbow, I've read other people say the same things about their local big box stores, which is a shame because it costs money to process out the plants (having an employee write what didn't sell, etc...) and maybe even to ship them back if that's how the arrangement works. I purchased these plants along with plastic trays (granted, the store doesn't make a ton of money on those) and some extra planting soil for succulents. I almost purchased some small rocks to go along with them for replanting, but decided to do that on a future visit because I just purchased similar-but-slightly-larger rocks from them recently.

It's like companies who sell printers...they sell the printers for dirt cheap because they make the money off of the add-ons (ink, paper, etc.)
