The rain last Sunday was not spectacular in its quantity, and it never rained again, but temperatures cooled down, so I hardly had to water the garden at all this week, and even the little rain we had on Sunday helped with weed-pulling. We are promised another smattering of rain this Sunday. At this point, I'm thankful even for weekly rain showers.
Here's the first bloom on my pretty Lynette from K&M. It will replace an own-root Lynette from Roses Unlimited that never amounted to much.
