It warmed my heart to read your story. Unfortunately my similar experience did not have a happy ending. One day I discovered a hummer too late to rescue. I try to leave garden spiders alone but this one crossed the line. It wove the web next to the feeder and apparently the hummer was caught late in the evening so by morning it was too late. I'm so glad you were able to save the hummer.
Hurray! Hurray! Smiling Smiling
