Purslane here in Phoenix stays open much more than a few morning hours which delights me. Phoenix is so hot and dry which must make purslane happy.

I have always loved any kind of purslane best but have also grown portulacca in various varieties.

I'm always impressed that you use all of the formal names, Tiffany!
