Permaculture Million Pollinator Garden Challenge
Poohdaddy, so how did your Silverberry acclimate? I have several on my property that have naturalized (more than 18 years old in zone 8b with soil pH ~5.4, sandy soil). Last winter we "discovered" that the fruits are edible AND very high in lycopene. We harvested some berries to munch and made jam. Most of mine are in the under story therefore probably don't have maximum fruiting potential. I'll experiment by transplanting into my olive orchard for full sun. Have fun!
