I don't mind potting up iris because it goes really fast and I get really good results. But daylilies -- that's another story! They're much harder to do because I get air pockets I have to try and get rid of, plus they take so much potting soil per pot. With irises I just build a cliff on one side and hang the roots off and fill 'er up! Easy! And of course I just got my big Maryott's order yesterday -- 30 plants! And most of them are so big that I'm having to use 2 gal. pots. Thank heavens I loaded up on potting soil last week!
Rita, your gardens are so lush and beautiful that it seems like you really don't need to order anything. But mine are still full of grass and weeds as I try to reclaim sections bit by bit, plus I'm going to grow a whole bunch of daylilies in pots for the next year as I try to play with dabbing some pollen...
