When I was young and growing up in a small town in the San Joaquin, we would often walk out to the edges of town, to the fields of tall grass and make pathways and walls, rooms, in the very tall grass. In our small 'yard' my Dad had neatly mowed grass and tightly pruned privet hedges...sigh...
