Oh yes, I'd overlooked the "and other bulb" part of this thread! Tarev, I like your pineapple lily suggestion; I'd wondered how well they grow in CA.
Rob, if pineapple lilies are something you'd like to grow, I'll have some extras available in spring when I divide. I grow them in pots and some varieties increase fast.
