Lifelong gardener. Toddling after my grandmothers gathering bouquets and learning the names of their flowers led to studying plant sciences. Earned BS, MA, PhD specializing in Botany, Horticulture, and Plant Physiology. But gardening is still the way I learn the most about plants. There is no substitute for hands-on experience!
I worked as a plant diagnostician for a department of agriculture, working with the nursery industry. As part of this I sometimes worked on reviewing pesticide labels for registration.
