I've been mother to Lauren, now 14, and William, few days away from 13, for as long as I can remember. It was just me and the kids for ten very rewarding years. Being a single mom is without a doubt one of the greater accomplishments of my life. Two years ago, we decided to extend our small family and I married one of the last few great men out there, Tracy Pearson. He's no doubt crazy as they come and he'll forever keep you wondering what he's going to say or do next...there's no telling!! Tracy brought along Tyler, now 15, and lots of variation from our norm. I went into a severe case of shock in Oct '09 and Tracy went back out of town to work after finding out that we were going to have another addition to our family, Lucas!!
Lauren's in 9th grade at OHS and plays JV Softball for the Redskins. She enjoys spending EVERY minute possible with her closest friends either doing whatever it is teenagers do, or at the World Outreach Center.
William is in the 7th grade at the great OHS. Playing video games is one of his favorite pasttime. This year, thankfully, he has realized he can do other things as well. He recent realized that he enjoys reading, and has successfully finished 2 books far longer than any I've ever read. He has also maintained the AB Honor Roll. I'm so proud of him for all the hard work that I've made sure there isn't one friend or family member that has gone untold!
Tyler is in 8th grade at Rainbow City Middle School where he plays both offense and defense on the JV football team. He graciously gives up the football just in time to put on camo for hunting season. You'll never hear complaints from him about spending time in the good ol' outdoors!
Then together, Tracy and I got Jasper. He is often much easier to deal with than teenagers! His messes aren't near as big, he doesn't dirty dishes nonstop, and he never talks back or asks for money!! I dare anyone to call him a dog!!!
Lucas just turned 7 months old. It's absolutely amazing how quickly those 7 months have flown by. Calm, lazy days spent relaxing were far easier when it was just me and Jasper, but chaos, confusion, craziness, and KIDS make the world go round!!
Lecrishia Sanders, I'd almost forgotten to include that piece of info!! It isn't hard to overlook details, appointments, and yes sometimes even myself when your house is filled with such a wonderfully large family!! :)
