Event Date: Mar 23, 2019 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Do you have beautiful plants, but your photographs aren't capturing the charm of your garden?
If so, this may be the perfect opportunity for you-- be with us when Elizabeth Mellott, Professor of Photography for Collin College presents this very special, free class.
Structured for beginners to become familiar with their camera and photographing plants outside, the first half of the class we will learn camera settings and how to use them aesthetically. The second half of class we will venture into the garden to develop shooting techniques and learn lighting tips. By the end of the day you will have the tools to create lovely photographs of your garden.
1:00-2:15 classroom presentation: camera, composition and lighting instruction
2:30-3:30 photographing in the garden with one-on-one feedback
3:30-4:00 meet back in classroom; share and discuss images
No previous photography knowledge is necessary – the class is structured for beginners. You must pre-register. Our class size is limited to only 16 attendees to better enable one-on-one instruction. All cameras are acceptable; however, preferred are DSLR or digital cameras that have the ability to change shutter speeds and apertures. Please bring your camera, a fully charged battery and your camera's sync cord to download images to the computer.
