Calendar of Events: Plants for Hot & Dry Gardens

Event Date: Aug 3, 2019 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM

Need to beat the heat and water less?

And no, it doesn't mean having only cactus and lava rock!

You actually have plenty of options, and NHG's Rusty E. Allen brings you a tour through the plants available right now that - when properly established - easily tolerate the heat and require much less water, yet still give your landscape viable, beautiful rewards. But whether native or adapted, it takes more than just plants: there's some tips on soil solutions that can help you, too.

In this 'plant showcase' class, we'll show you exactly what we've got in stock, plus along the way we'll give special note to those plants that give extra rewards such as attracting wildlife, requiring the least maintenance, or returning reliably, year after hot and dry year.

Come on into the cool of our Gardener's Classroom, and meet the plants that can handle the heat in this free class.
