Calendar of Events: The Texas Tried and True: Proven Perennials for Fall

Event Date: Sep 14, 2019 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM

Need plants that battle heat, drought, cold, and neglect-- but still keep going for you?

We have the right plant for the right place.

It's fall planting time, and it's the ideal time to think about those plants that you could have flourishing in your garden, bringing wildlife and surviving with very little maintenance. Be with us when NHG's Education and Outreach Coordinator Rusty E. Allen highlights the 'Texas Tried & True' with our favorite tough, drought tolerant, native or well-adapted solution plants that perform consistently in the soils and climate of North Texas.

This seasonal class includes a 'plant showcase' of what's in stock right now that's perfect for planting right now, as well as recommendations for plant combinations and soil amendments. We've got the answers for what performs well in those areas that always seem to give you problems.

Plus, we'll focus on plants that are best for supporting pollinators and other wildlife.
Need a personal recommendation? Don't miss this popular, free class.
