Tree Planting Day and Workshop
Learn proper planting techniques and seedling maintenance/protection while inter-planting about 5 acres of Douglas-fir and western red cedar that was planted in 2015.
Bridge Clean-off and Trail Maintenance Inventory
The various bridges need to be visited and have any organic build-up removed to help prolong their life and limit slippery conditions. In addition, in preparation for the anticipated spring brushwork we also need to identify trail conditions so we can prioritize work.
Volunteer Support Project Supervision
We have two large groups joining us for this month's Community Forest Day. We need help supervising various projects, distributing and gathering gear, and helping set-up for lunch.
LEARN BY DOING—IT'S THE HOPKINS WAY WE MANAGE OUR FOREST!
Lunch provided @ noon
At noon, we will be serving up a hot lunch for all to enjoy.
