2023 Victory Seeds Photo Contest

As a family-run seed company who sells almost 2,000 different vegetables, herbs, and flowers, we need a lot of photos to go with our products, on our website and in our print catalog. What better way to increase our photos than to also celebrate all of our customers and their gardens? We invite you to help us and our future customers by showing off your harvests with the excellent photos of varieties you have grown and have a shot at winning Victory Seed gift cards, and the rewarding feeling of having your photos showcased on our website and catalogs.

Therefore, we excitedly welcome you to the 2023 Victory Seeds Photo Contest, with nearly $500 in prizes!

There are 17 different categories you can enter your photos in, and the 1st place winner of each category will receive a $25 gift card for our store that never expires. The Best of Show top winner will receive an additional $25 gift card.

Common questions:

How many photos can I submit?

You can submit as many as you like. Please upload the highest resolution version you have. The pictures don't have to be perfect, we're just looking for photos that represent the specific varieties we offer through our store.

Can I post photos of varieties that you don't sell?

Please don't. The point of this photo contest is to get photos that we can use in our catalog and on our website, so only photos of our own varieties are useful to us.

What kinds of rights am I granting you to use my photos?

By posting photos to our contest, you are granting us permission to use those photos in print or web, with or without a Victory Seed Company watermark overlay. Despite giving us permission to use the photos this way, you retain the ownership and full rights to the photos.

How are the winners chosen?

This is the cool part - you do!! All the members of Garden.org (which includes any of our customers who create a free account) will take part in the voting. Once the contest period closes, a voting section will open up where you can view all the photos in each category, and you can then cast votes for your favorites. In each category, the photo with the most votes wins. After that voting closes, the best of show voting begins where the same kind of voting happens between the 1st place winners of each category.

What if I win in multiple categories?

You will get a $25 gift card for each category you win 1st place in. This means if you have good photos, then you've got a chance to get your entire garden paid for next year!

So I have to have a Garden.org account to post photos?

Yes, Garden.org is a completely free service run by the National Gardening Association. Create an account and then you can participate by posting your photos. It should be a simple and easy process to get an account and get logged in.
