I bought a Doublefile Viburnum (Viburnum plicatum tomentosum 'Mariesii' two years ago and it has never yet bloomed. The first year (2006), I assumed it was too small (about a foot high, close to two feet wide). Last year, just after the leaves began to emerge, we had a severe freeze (Easter week-end), and I attributed to it the lack of blooms. But this year, I think I've run out of excuses for this otherwise gorgeous shrub. It is now about 4 feet tall and 3 feet wide, with beautiful green foliage, but no blooms. Do I need to give it more time, or do some of these viburnums never bloom?
