Does anyone have simple easy instructions for building a cold frame?

    First figure out what you are going to use for and, preferably, have on hand the top or lid. If you use, for example, an old storm window that will determine what size the cold frame is going to be and you just knock together some lumber to fit around that sash. I built mine of 1 x 8 cedar boards cut to fit the window sash, but since I have all the tools I put a rabbit (that's a woodworkers term for a grove not the little furry thingy that munches on plants) for the sash to lock into, to help cut down on cold air infiltration. You could use 2 by lumber as well and its basically building a bottomless box of whatever size you want.
