  • I got 2 double fans of Good Impression from Oakes in late Summer 2020. By summer of '21 it was a nice clump but sadly developed Spring sickness and looked pitiful. It rallied however, and ended up with some nice blooms that summer. In Spring '22 it has again developed Spring sickness. I have had it on other plants in my garden, but this is the only one that is so severely affected. I'm not sure if this cultivar is more susceptible to it, but we'll see what happens this summer.
  • I received Royal Celebration in 2015 and after seven years finally gave up on seeing decent blooms and pitched it. Very few blooms opened correctly, were splotchy, misshapen, or the buds just dried up and dropped off.
  • Mine always blooms mid season. It is an amazing bloomer, lots of buds in the first place and then lots of rebooms. A really bright one!
  • The lavender bitone spidery form in circulation with nurseries is not the registered 1938 Nesmith daylily, thus this entry was made for the unknown but pretty imposter plant.
  • Unusual velvety rich red. Like many here it developed bad rust in our mild summer with constant rain or showers, but has improved as temps cooled a bit although rain continues.
