I have a new dog and his urine leaves brown spots in my lawn. I was told to water the area after he goes but that does not seem to work. I have tried re-seeding in som spots but it is hard when you have to mow around the patches. Can you help? |
Here is a website from Texas A&M that contains more than you ever wanted to know about dog problems on the lawn: http://aggie-horticulture.tamu... The best solution for the long-term is to patiently train the dog to go elsewhere. Or, you could install at least a temporary physical barrier. In the short-term, repellents are a possibility. There are a number of commercial products available (Hinder or Ropel), but they do need to be applied and reapplied according to the label instructions in order to be effective. Good luck! |
