|Last year I planted a knock out rose tree. It did fine last year and through the winter, started blooming this summer, had lots of buds, then I came outside one morning and it was completely dead. Any ideas? I never saw any bugs and it was not over watered.

|What a shame! Since you describe it as healthy one day, dead the next, I would suspect something like herbicide drift. Was anyone spraying to kill weeds or lawn that might have drifted to your rose? Another possibility is that the root system was girdled or damaged so couldn't absorb water and nutrients. Did you pull it up and examine it? I'm sorry I can't be more specific.
