Gladiolus flower - Knowledgebase Question

Hi,
I did planted and have beutiful gladiolus flower last summer but this year nothing? I think I lost them because of the winter(snow and cold). I live in Chicago. Do I need to removed the bulbs and disposed them or leave it there and they will disapeared?

I'm sorry your glads did not return. They do not tolerate cold winters and should have been dug up and stored over winter and replanted in spring. You do not have to try and remove them now. They have decomposed and are adding organic matter to the soil.
