|Grubs don't rise to the surface of your lawn until late summer and that's why your lawn service typically waits until then to apply grub killer. If you apply it too early, it won't be as effective because the grubs are not within range of the chemical. Grubex and Bayer Advanced Season Long Grub Control are both time release products and can be applied this early in the year. Go ahead and apply the product according to label directions and you should get adequate control of the grubs. Best wishes with your lawn.
